Top Master was founded in 1984 by Tim Hovey. Initially working out of a small garage in Merriam, Kansas, fabricating and installing Dupont and Corian solid surface counter tops in the Kansas City area, success came fast and with in a year, the company had grown so much that Top Master moved to a larger facility in Overland Park, Kansas.

Working primarily with kitchen dealers, builders, and remodelers in the metropolitan area, Top Master quickly became known as a company that offered top quality products and superior customer services. Soon, larger commercial accounts took notice of Top Master's expert reputation, and the company further expanded its services, providing Corian to both large and small commercial projects in the surrounding area.

Business continued to flourish as Corian became the product of choice for homes and commercial projects nationwide. And as product demand increased, Top Master saw great success, and needed to again expand its operations. Sales matured rapidly between 1991 and 1996, and in the spring of 1997 Top Master again upgraded its facilities and its market. With a new warehouse and a customer base that spanned over 200 miles, Top Master was ready to add to its product line, and in 1999 natural stone and marble became available to Top Master's loyal customers. Also in 1999, Top Master purchased a small company in Wichita in order to expand their company and set up a local branch that would help them to better serve the Wichita, Kansas market.

Doubling the size of its facility again by relocating one last time in 2000 to an ample space in Kansas City, Kansas, it is clear that Top Master's quality products and outstanding customer service have served them well. The company has grown from a one man operation to a team of 200 plus employees, company wide, and a fleet of forty vehicles to service customers. And while sales continue to grow by leaps and bounds as Top Master continues to take advantage of growth opportunities, the original integrity of the business is maintained and practiced each day. Quality service, superior products, strong and lasting relationships and their builders and developers, and a dedication to customer satisfaction; these are the principles on which Top Master was built and the principles by which they continue to grow still.
